“is it any good?”

Before Swarm of Change was published, I asked people whose opinions mattered to me.

I wasn’t looking for endorsements.

I was looking for honesty.

Here is what they said.

Among them were former Toyota leaders, Lean authors and educators, Shingo Institute faculty, and senior operational practitioners, the strange thing was I hadn’t spoken to the vast majority of them in well over 12 years, some 20 years!

Their reflections helped the doubting question and ultimately encouraged the book’s publication,

Rather than summarising or polishing those responses, the original reflections are preserved here as they were written.

This archive provides a transparent record of how experienced practitioners responded to the ideas behind Swarm of Change while the manuscript was still evolving.

Why this archive exists

Most books collect endorsements after publication.

This archive records the actual reflections before publication.

The comments captured here were written when the ideas were still being explored, questioned, and refined.

They remain here as an open record of those early conversations.

Post-Publication Reflections – everyone can have a say

Since publication, additional readers have shared their own reflections on the book.

These more recent responses can be found here:
